Chocolate Chip Banana Bars

Chocolate Chip Banana Bars

Who doesn’t love a mixture of chocolate and bananas! These bars are so easy to make and taste just so yummy, especially with a cuppa.

To make these choc chip banana bars, you will need:

  • ripe bananas
  • brown sugar
  • butter
  • milk
  • eggs
  • plain flour
  • bicarbonate of soda
  • salt
  • cinnamon
  • vanilla extract
  • chocolate chips

I make my own vanilla extract and you can too, just follow these easy diy vanilla extract instructions!

Chocolate Chip Banana Bar Instructions

To make these bars, you will need to prepare a lamington tray by lining it with baking paper or spraying it with non-stick spray. Then, put it aside until you need it and grab your bananas.

Peel and mash the bananas before adding them to a large mixing bowl.

Next, add the brown sugar, butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs into the bowl with the mashed bananas. Mix this mixture well until combined.

Then add the plain flour, bicarbonate of soda, salt, and cinnamon and mix well.

Fold through ¾ of a cup of chocolate chips before spreading the batter out into the prepared pan.

Sprinkle the other ¼ cup of chocolate chips onto the top of the slice, and bake for 22-25 minutes, until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Let the slice cool completely before cutting into squares.
