Sandalwood Sugar Scrub Bars

Sandalwood Sugar Scrub Bars

With a classic woodsy and warm scent, these sandalwood sugar scrub bars are a wonderful way to help maintain youthful, healthy glowing skin. Sandalwood is a precious oil that is great for helping relieve tension, and calming emotions as well as helping reduce skin blemishes.

What Are Sugar Scrub Bars?

Well, they are sugar scrub in a more solid form. They work the same as the scrub, though are easier to hold and make things less slippery than sugar scrubs. Sugar Scrub Bars also don’t feel as oily or greasy as the traditional sugar scrub and are less messy.

What Are Sugar Scrub Bars Used For?

They are used to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise the skin – great for those with dry skin. They pack up a lot easier then sugar scrub, making them great to take with you when you travel.

How to Use Sugar Scrub Bars

First, you will need to wet the skin where you are planning to use the bar. When wet, gently rub the bar onto the skin, massaging the bar into your skin to help exfoliate the skin as you go. Let it sit on the skin for a couple of minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

Note: As sugar scrubs contain oil, they can make the tub or shower slippery, so make sure you clean off the floor after using. As these sugar scrub bars contain melt and pour soap, they shouldn’t make anything slippery, but just be careful.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are potent, and need to be diluted. As this sugar scrub is being used on your skin, you will need to use essential oils that are gentle enough to be applied to your skin – and used in the correct quantities.

Some other essential oils that could be used are:

  • Frankincense EO – helps promote healthy cell regeneration making it great for those with skin imperfections, wrinkles, and fine lines
  • Lavender EO – great for dry, ageing and acne-prone skin as it is an anti-inflammatory, an antiseptic and has antibacterial properties
  • Tea Tree EO– great for normal, oily or acne-prone skin
  • Rose EO– great for sensitive skin, fine lines, wrinkles and crows feet
  • Lemon EO– aids in rejuvenating sagging or tired-looking skin – it is a photosensitive oil, so I would only use it in a night cream
  • Myrrh EO– great for dry skin
  • Helichrysum EO– great for skin imperfections, as well as dry and ageing skin
  • Sweet Orange EO – uplifting and energising
  • Roman Chamomile – gentle and relaxing
