This smooth and creamy vegan fudge is easy to make in only a few minutes, and only needs a few ingredients.
Vegan Fudge
This decadent fudge tastes just like the fudge from a shop. No one would ever guess that it is vegan and dairy free! It tastes exactly like fudge should taste. Smooth, creamy and quite rich with a lovely chocolate flavour.
This great fudge recipe is so easy to make that you can make it in a saucepan on the stove or in a microwave.
Vegan Fudge Hints
- Don’t try to change this recipe or it won’t set. All of the sugar is needed to make the fudge set. This is a sugary treat after all.
- If you don’t have a hand mixer, you can mix it with a wooden spoon.
- Sifting the powdered/icing sugar and cocoa may seem like an extra step, but it makes for a lovely, smooth fudge.
- This fudge can also be made in a 7 x 11 inch pan. For a taller fudge, use a smaller pan. For a thinner fudge, use the larger pan.
- Coconut oil could be used instead of butter.
Fudge Variations
- Minty fudge – replace the vanilla extract with peppermint extract.
- Nutty fudge – replace the vanilla extract with almond extract or similar and add some chopped nuts.
- Rocky Road fudge – Mix through some vegan, chopped marshmallows, chopped almonds and even some vegan chocolate chips.
- Fruity fudge – Chopped up some dried fruit such as cranberries, Medjool dates, dried blueberries or cherries and add to the fudge.
- Peanut butter fudge – Mix through some peanut butter before placing the fudge in the fridge to set.
- Caramel fudge – Drizzle the top of the fudge with vegan caramel before placing the fudge in the fridge to set.
- Hazelnut fudge – Sprinkle the top with chopped hazelnuts before placing in the fridge to set.
- Choc Orange Fudge – Add some orange zest to the mixture.
- Salty Fudge – For a delicious salty fudge, add some crushed pretzels to the mixture.
Storing Fudge
This fudge should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
It can also be frozen, for up to 3 months. Freezing the fudge may change the texture slightly. Let the fudge come to room temperature before eating.

- 1 Cup Natural,Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 Cup Vegan Butter or Coconut Oil
- ½ Cup Unsweetened Plant Milk such as soy milk

Add the milk and the vanilla to the bowl and blend with a hand mixer to combine.
Quickly pour the mixture into the prepared pan. You need to move fast here as the mixture will start to set rather quickly after being mixed.
Place in the pan in the fridge for at least one hour to set.
