Crossing the Red Sea Story
The story of Moses and the Israelites crossing the Red Sea can be found in Exodus 14. If you want to read about the 10 plagues first, read Exodus 13.
In this story, the Israelites have been slaves for the Egyptians for over 400 years.
God calls on Moses to help free His people and lead them to the land of Canaan.
Pharaoh wouldn’t let the people go until after the tenth plague.
After the Israelites left, Pharaoh changed his mind and with an army, went after the Israelites to bring them back.
God told Moses to stretch out his hand over the Red Sea, and the Sea was divided. The Israelites were able to cross the Sea on dry land. When they reached the other side, the waters crashed down. None of the Egyptians survived.
