The Prodigal Son Story

The story about the Prodigal Son can be found in Luke 15:11-32.

This parable is about a man who had two sons. His younger son asked his father for his inheritance.

This son was delighted when his father agreed. The son then decided to go off to another country with his money.

In this country, the son wasted away all of his inheritance. Then a severe famine hit the land. The son found a job feeding pigs. As he was feeding the pigs, he though of his father’s servants/

They ate better than he was eating. This younger son decided to go home and ask his father for a job as a servant.

On arriving home, the father rejoiced to see his lost son. He threw a party for the son.

The older son was not impressed and didn’t want to attend the party.

An important lesson can be learned from this story. No matter what you have done, God will forgive you if you own up to your mistakes.
