This herb salt recipe is a lovely blend of salt and herbs. Simple to make and stores for a long time, it is a great way to preserve some of your garden herbs for your own use or to give as a gift.

This herb salt recipe is easy to make, tastes great, is extremely versatile, is a great way to preserve the herbs in your garden and lasts a long time.

Herbal Salt Notes

  • If you find the herbs are too strong, mix through a little more salt until you get the taste you want.
  • You can use any herbs that you like.
  • Any salt will also work in this recipe.
  • If you have fresh herbs, make sure to dry them completely before using them in this recipe.
  • Other herbs and spices that could be used include: Onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, marjoram

This herb salt can be used on:

Ingredients for Making Herb Salt

To make around 1 cup of herbal salt, you will need:

  • 1 Cup Sea Salt
  • 2 TBSP Dried Basil
  • 2 TBSP Dried Sage
  • 2 TBSP Dried Rosemary
  • 2 TBSP Dried Thyme

Making Herb Salt

Place the herbs into a grinder and grind until they become a fine powder.

Pour into a glass bowl and add the salt.
