Italian Seasoning Blend
This Seasoning Blend is so easy to make, and by making your own, you know exactly what is in them. The lovely flavours of this seasoning allows it to perfectly blend with so many dishes from roasts, chicken, beef, lamb, fish, potatoes and even bread or damper. This is one staple that you will love having in your pantry!
To make this seasoning, all you need to do is measure out the herbs, mix together and store in an airtight container. When stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place, it will stay fresh for up to six months.
If you grow and dry your own herbs, you can easily whip up a batch of this with your freshly dried herbs.
Making the Blend
To make around ¾ cup of this delicious blend, you will need:
- 2 TBSP dried oregano
- 2 TBSP dried basil
- 2 TBSP dried thyme
- 2 TBSP dried rosemary
- 2 TBSP dried sage
- 2 TBSP dried marjoram
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper, ground
- 1 TBSP red chilli flakes, optional
Directions
Add all ingredients to a bowl.
Stir well until all spices are combined.
Store in an airtight container.

Being a really versatile seasoning, it can be used in a variety of dishes including:
- Mix through pizza sauce before spreading it on homemade pizzas
- Sprinkle on vegetables before roasting
