Store in an air-tight container. I like to store mine in a large, glass mason jar. Place your jar or container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

If you prefer to make a large batch, then just double or triple the recipe.

2 tablespoons of this homemade taco seasoning is equivalent to one taco mix packet.

To season 500g (one pound) of mince (ground beef), or to season 3 cups of cooked beans, use 2 tablespoons of this mixture.

Can I use fresh herbs in the spread?

Yes you can replace the dried herbs with fresh herbs. Use a tablespoon of each of the herbs.

If you grow your own garlic, you can make your own garlic powder and use that if you wish.

What else can this seasoning be used for?

This delicious seasoning is not just limited to tacos. Try using it on:

  • To flavour Mexican rice
  • To flavour black beans
  • Use a a dry rub for steak, chicken, fish before cooking the on the bbq
