This Peppermint Foot Soak is a wonderful, easy, DIY project for those who want to pamper and soothe tired feet. It also makes a great present for the people that are on their feet all day for their tired tootsies! A nice way for them to end their day.
This foot soak uses Peppermint Essential Oil which offers many aromatherapy benefits, including boosting energy and soothing tired muscles. It also has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
This is inexpensive to make and contains only 4 ingredients, many of which you would already have at home. I have included two different recipes for you; one being more of a milky foot soak and the other more of an exfoliating soak that contains baking soda. Both recipes include Epsom salts which is made up of magnesium and sulphate that can help reduce pain and inflammation.
Milky Peppermint Foot Soak
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- 2 peppermint infused tea bags
- 10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
- Large Glass, airtight jar for storage
Add the powdered milk and Epsom salts to a bowl. Stir with a metal spoon. Cut open the 2 tea bags and add the contents and mix well. Finally, mix through the peppermint essential oil. Transfer to a glass, airtight container.
To use – Place ½ cup of the peppermint foot soak to a basin of hot water and stir. Insert feet and soak for about 20 minutes. After, rinse and dry your feet and then follow up with a natural moisturiser.
