Eucalyptus essential oil is widely popular in balms, blends and inhalers and is thought to be purifying and cleansing in nature. Used in many over-the-counter products, eucalyptus essential oil is known for reducing cold symptoms and can speed healing time. The properties of Eucalyptus essential oil are healing in nature and the aroma is invigorating. Eucalyptus is used throughout the world for comfort and care. Cold Sore Remedy

Many over-the-counter products for cold sores have eucalyptus as a primary ingredient because it soothes symptoms and speeds healing time. Eucalyptus essential oil is an easy and effective way to get symptomatic cold sore relief.

Cold Sore Topical Blend

  • dilute with carrier oil; using a cotton swab apply directly to the cold sore 3 times daily
  • 2 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • 1 drop Chamomile Essential Oil
  • 1 drop Melissa Essential Oil

Common carrier oils that you could use are:

  • coconut oil
  • sweet almond oil
  • olive oil

The ratio of essential oil to carrier oil may vary. Typically, a ratio of 2–4 drops of essential oil diluted in 1 ounce of a carrier oil is used.

Muscle and Joint Relief

Eucalyptus essential oil is a strong analgesic, anti-inflammatory and improves circulation. It is highly effective in soothing the ache and discomfort for tired or overworked muscles and joints.

DIY Warming Muscle Rub

  • Combine the following, making sure to mix well. Store in an airtight glass jar away from direct heat and sunlight.
  • Apply directly on painful or tired muscles and joints.
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup shea butter
  • 12 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • 7 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 2 drops Clove Essential Oil
  • 2 drops Cinnamon Essential Oil

Eucalyptus Dives Essential Oil 10 mL

 

Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil 10 mL

 

Eucalyptus Radiata Essential Oil 10 mL

Healthy Scalp

Eucalyptus essential oil can help prevent build up from hair products as well as fight dandruff and lice. Eucalyptus stimulates the scalp and nourishes hair.

Homemade Eucalyptus Shampoo

  • Combine ingredients and store in a cool dark place, or in the fridge. Only lasts a couple of days.
  • 1 TBSP Bicarb of Soda (Baking Soda)
  • 10 drops of Almond Oil
  • 1 cup distilled water
  • 3 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • 2 drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 1 drop Peppermint or Tea Tree Essential Oil
  • 2 drops fresh Lemon Juice

Mix well and store in a glass jar or container. Shake well before each use. On wet hair, massage into scalp and leave on for 2-3 minutes. Rinse well, apply conditioner as needed. Use no more than 2 times per week to avoid drying out.

Boost Immunity

Eucalyptus essential oil is a powerful purifier and works great to remove toxins. This anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory agent is highly effective at boosting immunity and protecting from illness. When fighting illness or feeling under the weather a bath soak with eucalyptus oil can leave you feeling great and help speed recovery time.

Essential oils are not water soluble, so be careful when using them in the bath.  Instead of the Castile soap, you could use Solubol, Polysorbate 20 or Polysorbate 80, shampoo or shower gel.

Wellness Bath Soak

  • Combine all ingredients in a glass bottle. Shake well and store in a cool, dry place.
  • 4 TBSP Castile soap
  • 2 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • 2 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
  • 1 drop Tea Tree Essential Oil
  • 1 drop Lavender Essential Oil

Use only 1 Tbsp of this blend in a full bath with warm water and soak for 15-20 minutes. Make sure it is blended into the water before hopping in the bath.

Cold Symptom Relief

Eucalyptus oil works great to relieve both allergy and cold symptoms. Eucalyptus opens air passages so you can breathe better and is thought to improve respiratory conditions.
