The Triumphal Entry of Jesus Story
The story about The Triumphal Entry of Jesus can be found in all four Gospels – Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-40; and John 12:12-19.
In this story, Jesus and his disciples are making their way to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover.
Jesus had sent two of his disciples to bring him a colt that had never been ridden on before. He gave them specific instructions on where to find this colt and what to do and say.
The disciples placed a garment on the colt, before Jesus rode it into the city.
As He rode the colt, the people rejoiced and praised God, as well as laid garments and palm leaves/branches on the ground. This day is now known as Palm Sunday.
