Parts of Speech

Parts of speech is a skill that children need to know. Learning to identify, and correctly apply the parts of speech to their own writing is something that has to be taught. These free parts of speech posters provide a reference for children to use when learning this important skill.

Using the Parts of Speech Posters

These posters can be used:

• As a visual reference on a wall, whiteboard or bulletin board
• Printed as a book – using your printer settings – so they can be used in grammar notebooks
• Printed as cards – using your printer settings – held together with a binder ring, so that they can be used for reference

These posters are created for one part of speech per page, which makes them great for laminating and placing around your homeschool room or classroom.

You could also print them half size, so that there are two posters per page. Then cut them out and laminated. Then connect them together with a binder ring for each child to have their own small book that they can refer to when they need.
