It’s been a crazy week, lots of sore throats, headaches, runny noses, and chesty coughs. The house has been rearranged, walls washed and painted and then arranged again, and a few nights spent in different beds than usual, but we have managed it quite well (Only the computer room and the garage need painting now.)
We have even managed to do lots of schoolwork, extra cooking and a big grocery shop. This week, in our homeschool, we concentrated on bees. We read through a ‘showbag’ that mum and dad bought down with them from a show they attended and made a banana smoothie with honey in it.
Together, we decided to make some bee cupcakes using a plain butter cake mix for the cupcakes and then decorating the tops with jellybeans and licorice.
Then we completed a bee lap book that I found at Homeschool Share.
We really enjoyed these Bee Life Cycle Cards
and these Bee Life Cycle Notebooking Pages.
