World War 1 Research Flip Book
World War 1 began on the 28th of July, 1914, finally ending in 1918. One main event that led to this war, was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his pregnant wife, Sophie. Franz was the heir to the throne of Austria and Hungary. These countries blamed Serbia and then war was declared, with other countries joining in over the years.
This World War 1 printable contains information for children on six different aspects of the war:
- all about the trenches and the life of the soldiers living in the trenches
- the aircraft that was used and how it was used during the war
- a look at some of the different weapons that were used during this time
- about joining the war, conscription, and the uniform the soldiers wore
- about different boats, especially submarines that were used during World War 1
- about the first tanks that were used during this war
In this flip book, you will receive one page of information about each of the six objects as well as the flip book. This information page can be used to complete the flip book, though it would be good for children to do their own research. The pages of the flip book include spots for children to record their research in their own words as well as draw pictures if they wish.
