With these ending digraph wheels, children will be learning 7 different digraphs while working on their fine motor skills.
What is a digraph?
A digraph is when two letters are paired together to represent one single sound. It can include a combination of consonants or vowels.
Consonant digraphs can usually be found at the beginning or ends of words, while vowel digraphs are often found in the middle of a word.
Once children have successfully completed learning about CVC words, they are ready to head into learning about digraphs.

Using Digraph Wheels
There are many ways you can use these wheels in your homeschool or classroom.
- Use with pegs, placing a clothespin on each of the words that begin with the digraph on each wheel.
- Use with counters, markers, pom poms etc, having children place a marker on each of the words that begin with the digraph on each wheel.
- For the black and white wheels, children can colour in the pictures that match the digraph. Once completed all the wheels, they can be stapled together to make a book they can refer to in the future.
- These wheels can be used in busy bags, for early finishers or added to reading trolleys as extra activities.
