Tips for Making Apple Cake

  • This cake is easy to make. It could be made without a beater, if you can beat the softened butter and sugar by hand.
  • Any apples will work, though I like to use a red apple. For a more tarty taste, use the green Granny Smith apples. Peel and core it, then cut the rest into, roughly, ½ inch pieces.
  • Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients gently – try not to over mix the mixture.
  • This cake could also be made as muffins. The baking time will need to be adjusted to around 30 minutes.
  • This cake could be baked in a different sized pan such as bundt, though depending on the size of the pan it may be a little thinner.
  • Maybe try a different fruit such as peach, berries or pear.

Storing Apple Cinnamon Cake

Place in an airtight container for up to 4 days. If you live in a hot climate, you might need to keep it in the fridge.

Let it come to room temperature before serving.

This cake can be frozen, and then defrosted before enjoying, though this may change the texture.
