Abraham and Sarah Story

The story about Abraham and Sarah can be found in Genesis. This printable pack focuses on the visit of the three strangers which can be found in chapters 18 and 19 of Genesis. In the previous chapter, God had just restated His promise to Abram, changing both of their names – Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah. Circumcision was instituted as part of the covenant.

God had told Abraham that he was going to be a ‘father of many nations.’ This seemed like a very hard task as both Abraham and Sarah were getting old and they still didn’t have any children.

As Abraham, who was 99 years old, is sitting by his tent on day, he sees three men heading in his direction. He runs to greet them and offers them a meal.

The men told Abraham that  God was going to send judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah. They also told him that they would have a baby by the same time next year. Sarah heard this from the tent where she was sitting and laughed.

Anything can happen with God, and Sarah gave birth to a boy a year later. Abraham was 100 years old, when baby Isaac was born. The name Isaac, can mean ‘laughter.’

I am committed to being a missionary during the summer to young children in our community, I desire to use these items to connect with our young children by reading the story that is in color and giving the children the B/W sheets to color to keep them engaged and learning.
