Neapolitan Pizza Sauce

Neapolitan Pizza Sauce

Made with simple ingredients including tomatoes, garlic and olive oil, this quick to prepare pizza sauce makes a smooth and flavourful base for your pizza.

To make a delicious pizza sauce, make sure you use the best quality ingredients you can find! The best tomatoes to use are the San Marzano ones.

Pizza Sauce Variations

  • While in this recipe, I have heated the ingredients, if you are short on time, you can just mix all the ingredients together and use
  • Add other herbs or spices can be added such as basil
  • Add ½ an onion diced when you add the garlic if you wish
  • If you want a super smooth sauce, blend the sauce, though this will make it slightly thinner / more runny

Storing Pizza Sauce

Store cooled sauce in an airtight container in the fridge. Use within one week.

This sauce can also be frozen. For easier use, freeze in small portions in a silicone muffin tray or a ice cube container so you only need to thaw a few blocks.

Once frozen use within two months.
