This honey slime is a lovely, smooth and fun slime which young children will love to explore with. With only 3 ingredients, this slime is so easy to make and fits well into a bee or honey study as well.
Honey Slime
To make this creamy slime, you will need only 3 ingredients:
- ½ cup of honey
- 1 cup of cornflour or icing sugar *see notes
- 3 – 5 TBSP oil
* if icing sugar is used, you may need more than 1 cup
This slime is so easy to make. First, in a microwavable container, mix the cornflour (or icing sugar) and the honey together using the back of a spoon. This can be quite difficult, though try to mix as much of the cornflour in as you can.
Place the mixture into the microwave for 15 50 30 seconds until it is just warmed up.
Add 1 TBSP of oil at a time to the mixture, until it forms a dough.
Turn out the dough onto a lined cutting board and knead the oil into the dough until it reaches a stretchy, slime-like consistency.
If you find that the slime has become sticky, you can add a little more oil.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature. If you need to store in the fridge, the slime does become stiff, so bring to room temperature before using.
