Using the Alphabet Board Games
To play these games, each player will need their own counter or marker and a die.
Player 1 rolls the die and moves the number of spaces forward.
They read the letter on the space. They can then say the sound of the letter and a word that begins with that letter. They can also write the letter or the word that begins with the letter on the record sheet. Though, young children who are just learning the letters of the alphabet aren’t required to do this.
If you land on a picture, then you get to roll again.
Player 2 takes their turn when player 1 has completed their turn.
Continue until both players reach the finish.
