These homemade candy cane bath salts are not only great for a relaxing soak, they also look amazing as part of a hamper, or gift this festive season.

Candy Cane Bath Salts
These awesome candy cane bath salts look beautiful, but are even more lovely to rest and soak in. They are very simple to make, and with a lovely presentation, they make wonderful gifts.
Just a note, you may find that the colours in this salt starts to bleed, so if you are making these for presents, don’t make them too far in advance. You may find that Epsom salts will hold the colour better than the sea salt.
NOTE: If giving as gifts, it may be best to leave out the essential oils, especially if you don’t know if there are any allergies that the person you are gifting them to have.
Essential Oils
Be careful when using essential oils. Make sure to do your research first and use with extreme care.
Essential oils are potent, and need to be diluted. As these salts are being used near/on your body, you will need to use essential oils that are gentle enough to be applied to your skin – and use in the correct quantities. Be careful to avoid sensitive areas like your eyes.
Be mindful of who will be using the salts, when adding essential oils as some people can’t use some oils and some oils can’t be used on young children or pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Some essential oils should not be used on children under 10. Do your research before adding and using any essential oils!
Don’t use in a bath when you have open wounds or cuts on your body.
