There are actions that go with this rhyme. They are as follows:

Five little monkeys jumping on the bed,     (jump up and down)

One fell off and bumped his head!        (tap your head with hand)

Momma phoned the Doctor, and the Doctor said.. (hold a pretend phone to your ear)

“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”  (pretend you are the doctor,  wagging finger firmly)

… repeat each verse counting down from 5- 0 ….

This cute Five Little Monkeys Printable Pack is a great way to bring this great rhyme to life. It contains a variety of activities and worksheets which young children will enjoy. I recommend laminating this, as well as the monkeys and the number cards that go with it for durability. Children can practice their number recognition by placing a number on the box in the top right hand corner, then practice their counting by placing the correct number of monkeys on the bed.

Also included in this printable pack are:

  • Alphabet flashcards
  • Number flashcards
  • Multiple story sequencing activities
  • A printable story book with and without dots
  • Colouring pages
  • Do-a-dot pages
  • Odd One Out
  • What comes next?
  • Finish the pattern
  • Number puzzles
  • I Spy
  • Dice game / graphing
  • Number flip book
