This playdough smelt wonderful and you could smell it throughout the house. The kids also had a great time playing with it.
The recipe I use is:
1 cup plain flour
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup salt
1 TBSP cream of tartar
1 TBSP oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp cinnamon
food colouring
Mix the flour and water to a paste and then add the salt and cream of tartar. Add the vanilla essence and the cinnamon. When cool, add oil mix it through. Separate into as many balls as you have colours and add the food colouring and knead through.
One lot we left white.
The boys spent hours playing with this and now it is sitting in the fridge ready for next time.
