These Nursery Rhyme sorting mats are the perfect way for toddlers, kindergarteners and preschoolers to practice rhyme and rhythm and sorting at the same time! This set of Nursery Rhyme sorting mats features ten different nursery rhymes.
Nursery Rhyme Sorting Mats
To Prepare:
To prepare, print out all the pages on white paper or cardstock. For durability, I then recommend laminating them.
You could write the name of the Nursery Rhyme on the back of each card before laminating to make this activity a self-check one. For very young children, you could also place velcro dots on the spots on the Nursery Rhyme mats and on the back of the Nursery Rhyme cards.
To Use:
This activity is pretty straightforward. Have your child match the correct Nursery Rhyme objects onto the correct cards. For young children, start familiarising them with the Nursery Rhymes, one at a time. Read the name of the Nursery Rhymes while pointing to it on the mat.
As your child becomes better with their Nursery Rhymes, add another mat, using two then three at a time until they can use all the mats at once, sorting the Nursery Rhymes at once.
This Nursery Rhyme Poster Pack contains posters for ten popular nursery rhymes. They are:
- Buckle My Shoe Printables
