This immune boosting tea is a simple, homemade remedy that helps with preventing and treating colds and the flu.

Immune Boosting Tea

This delicious and easy to make immune boosting tea helps with relieving the symptoms and the duration of colds and the flu.

The honey can be swapped out for maple syrup or rice malt syrup, depending on your taste or diet.

Ingredients for Making Immune Boosting Tea

To make this immune boosting tea, you will need:

  • ¼ tsp Cayenne Powder
  • 2 TBSP Grated Ginger
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • Honey
  • Water
  • Tea Pot
  • Tea Cups

Making Immune Boosting Tea

Add the ginger, turmeric and cayenne powder to the tea pot.

Boil some water and add it to the tea pot.

Immune Boosting Tea steeping

Let the mixture steep for 7 to 10 minutes.

Strain into the cup.

Add a small amount of honey and lemon juice and stir.

Enjoy the warm immune boosting tea immediately.

Or, store in the fridge for later use. It can be reheated when needed or use as a base for iced tea.

You may find this tea to be a little spicy due to the cayenne powder. The tea can be diluted by adding more water, or the amount of cayenne powder can be reduced or removed completely if desired.

Storing Immune Boosting Tea

This tea is best enjoyed when it is fresh and warm. 

It can also be kept in a thermos to drink later on in the day.

The leftovers can be stored in the fridge to reheat for later use or used as a base for an iced tea.
