A lovely, relaxing bath is the perfect way to wind down, release tension and relax at the end of a long, hard day. However, so commercially purchased bubble baths often include ingredients that some people react to as well as containing some harsh chemicals that people are trying to avoid.
Even so, if you do have sensitive skin issues, check to make sure that you are able to use the ingredients before proceeding with making this calming lavender bubble bath.
The ingredients in this bubble bath are:
Castile Soap
Liquid castile soap is an all-natural soap that is biodegradable, nontoxic and vegan. It is best to use an unscented soap.
Lavender Essential Oil
This essential oil helps calm and relax the mind and body. It also may help with fighting anxiety and depression.
Vegetable Glycerin
This ingredient helps with making the bubbles bigger and to help them last longer. It also works as an effective moisturising agent.
If you don’t have glycerin, you could try using coconut oil instead. Coconut oil will help with moisturising as well.
Making Bubbles
For the best bubble bath, pour the mixture that you create into the stream of running water that is coming from the tap. The stronger the water is coming out of the tap, the bigger the bubbles will be. Bubbles could help with keeping the temperature of the bath warmer for longer as they help insulate the water.

This recipe makes 10 oz or 296 ml of calming and relaxing bubble bath.
For this, you will need:
- 1 cup unscented, liquid castile soap
- ÂĽ cup vegetable glycerin
- 20 drops lavender essential oil
This easy to make bubble bath recipe is made by:
- Adding the three ingredients carefully into a bowl.
- Stir the mixture well.
- Pour into a jar, or multiple smaller jars if you are looking at using this recipe for gifts.
- To Use – at 1 – 2 oz (30-60ml) in your bath.
