With ingredients that help reduce redness and inflammation, moisturise the skin, help with anti-aging and more, these grains are the perfect way to refresh your skin naturally.

Hibiscus

It is said that hibiscus is a powerful anti-aging plant that is filled with collagen boosting properties. The results of adding hibiscus powder to your soap can result in softer, younger looking skin! It can also:

  • Help improve skin elasticity
  • Tighten wrinkles and fine lines
  • Speed up cell turnover
  • Unclog pores to help prevent blackheads
  • Control acne due to the anti-bacterial properties
  • Exfoliate dead skin cells
  • Reduce damage from UV rays
  • Soothe skin
  • Boost collagen production

Ingredients for Making Hibiscus Cleansing Grains

To make around 14 ounces of these grains, you will need:

  • ½ Cup Rose Hips
  • ½ Cup Hibiscus Powder
  • 6 TBSP Pink Kaolin Clay
  • 6 TBSP Oats
  • 2 x 4 Ounce Jars

The oats in this recipe can be replaced with oat flour and rose hip powder can be used instead of the rose hips. This would work well if you don’t have anything to grind in or if you just want to skip the grinding altogether.

Other powdered flowers that you could also try with this recipe include: Lavender, Calendula, and Chamomile.

Note: For those that are allergic to ragweed there is a small chance that you may have an allergic reaction to chamomile as well.  Make sure to spot test any products containing chamomile and avoid if any itching or allergic reaction occurs.
