I am so happy that we were given an individual membership to Super Teacher Worksheets.
Launched in 2007, Super Teacher Worksheets is an amazing educational website that contains over 10,000 printable worksheets, activities and games. Though currently most of their resources are aimed for the Kindergarten to 5th Grade levels, they are slowly adding resources for higher grades.
The price, $20 for 12 months access, is also very affordable making this an amazing resource for homeschooling families and teachers. You can search the subjects for the activities you need and print out the ones that you want. It is so easy! Categories include: Math, Reading & Writing, Phonics & Early Literacy, Handwriting, Grammar, Spellings Lists, Science, Social Studies, Holiday, Puzzles & Brain Teasers, Teacher Helpers, Pre-K and Kindergarten, and
Worksheet Generator.
Many of the worksheets are connected to the common core which is fantastic. Just click on the CC next to view pdf and you can see which common core standards the activity relates too.
There are also quite a few free activities for you to trial, allowing you to see how the worksheets look and to see if they will work for you, as you can see in the above picture.
Fully paid members also have access to a ‘filing cabinet’. This allows you to ‘save’ your favourite worksheets, allowing for easier access in the future. Think of this like bookmarking a page you enjoy.
So, how did we go?
Our boys have really become interested in dinosaurs over the last couple of months, so I did a quick search for dinosaur worksheets and found some amazing dinosaur resources. They enjoyed working together completing these worksheets.
Then I searched for some worksheets on division for B. He has only just started learning division in the last couple of weeks and he found these Division Mystery Picture activities really fun.
R has really loved learning about fractions so I searched for worksheets on fractions at his level. This fraction sort worksheet was used more as a review for him.
Both boys enjoy learning about animals and the animal worksheets were a big hit with them.
R doesn’t like to write or do ‘big’ math sums, but he didn’t complain once when completing this Math Puzzle Picture. He sat there and completed each sum, trying to guess what the picture was after gluing each piece of the puzzle on.
Some other things that I like are how easy the website is to navigate and find what you are looking for, having answer keys included and the way you can check what is new on the site as well. You are able to see when the recent activities have been added to the site and read , a little description about each one.
Overall, we have found the worksheets and activities fun and exciting and really good for learning new skills or reviewing old one. As we are living in a caravan, travelling around, we spend a lot of time out and about visiting all the attractions in each place we stop at. Super Teacher Worksheets has been a massive blessing, allowing me to search and print worksheets for the boys to complete, allowing me to spend less time searching and more time with my family.

We did the vertebrate sorting pages, too. 🙂
