This month, the theme for the Poppins Book Nook was In the Lab.
Our boys really enjoyed this book about a brother and a sister who goes to stay with their ‘mad scientist’ uncle for the summer. He allows them to build whatever they want in his lab, using any of his equipment and supplies they want.
Throughout the book, they children create some projects and you are given instructions on how to replicate what they made. We didn’t have time (or supplies) to make any of the projects in this book with Christmas/New Year and being away on holidays, but we will definitely read this book again, this time making the projects and testing them out for ourselves.
We have completed many projects and experiments over the years which you can find here: Science Experiments
I also have made a science experiment worksheet, which you can download for free here:
Check out what the other co-hosts have been up to this month!

This book sounds like a great way to combine hands on science and a great story!
Thank you for helping to bring a spoonful of reading fun to the Poppins Book Nook this month!
