Knapsack of Hope

I made this for a birthday present. It is a knapsack (a square piece of fabric) with items inside with a note to explain each item.
This is what the note said:Knapsack of Hope

 

A STAR to remind you to keep shining
A PAPERCLIP to help you hold your things together
An ERASER to fix all your small mistakes
A LOCK to keep all your secrets safe
A PENNY so that you’re never broke
A RUBBER BAND to help you stretch beyond your limits
A KISS to remind you that you’re loved
A LIPGLOSS for when life’s in need of a little more sparkle and shine
A BANDAID for when you fall and scrape yourself
A MARBLE for the day you’re sure you’ve lost yours

 

Inside the square piece of fabric I put a star cut out of a yellow piece of paper and laminated, a paperclip, an eraser, a lock, a penny (I got this from ebay), a rubber band, a kiss that was printed out and laminated, a lipgloss, a bandaid and a marble.

I pulled the four corners of the fabric together and tied them up with a rubber band and some ribbon and used a kebab stick placed under the rubber band to hold onto. This is how it turned out…
