We have started our look at Italy using the package we received from the Cultural Exchange as a base for our study.
We talked about the food from Italy and one of the favourite sweets over there is Gelato.
It took me awhile to find a simple recipe that did not use an ice cream maker, as I don’t have one and am not looking at buying one either. I finally found one at The Stone Soup.
It was easy and delicious, though a little gritty.
Raspberry GelatoSimple Living. Creative Learning
All you need is
- 300 g frozen raspberries
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup thickened cream
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and whizz until you have a creamy mixture, but is still soft. Taste and add extra sugar if needed.
- You can eat as is, or freeze for a few hours and then enjoy.
(I used pure cream and it turned out fine)
