Gold Coast Holiday Park

After picking up our caravan, we drove back to the Gold Coast to set it up. We spent just over two weeks at the Gold Coast Holiday Park, setting up our caravan while hubby finished up work.

While we were there, we were able to try out many of the activities that we available. The boys really enjoyed the pool /spa area. There were some very comfortable seats available, that I really loved.

The spa was big and very warm. Great for a soak at the end of a long day unpacking and sorting or working.

The boys loved the slide!!

There is a cafe in this pool area that is available for meals. They also have a Make your Own Pizza Night and a Make Your Own Burger night.

The jumping pillow was fabulous! It was enormous and our boys absolutely loved it. Poor R tripped over his brother while on the jumping pillow and stretched a ligament in his foot which ended his jumping for a week.

There is a small animal farm for the kids to visit with geese,

a calf, a goat and more.

There are three different types of buggies that you can hire from Reception. There are single seaters, double seaters and this four seater. To hire a four seater for 1/2 hour, costs $15.

We hired this one for 1/2 an hour and the boys took turns driving it. R has had practice driving a golf buggy and you could tell. B really had no idea and took us for a wild drive on his turns.

The tennis court is free, though you need to book in at the reception. They also have tennis racquets and balls available for hire as well. As we hadn’t played tennis for a while, it took the boys a little while to get into hitting the ball. The first 3 they hit went over the fence!

There is also a bmx track and a kangaroo/koala area as well as an area you can take your dog off the leash.

The amenities were awesome!! Even going to the toilet was an adventure. The boys loved to find the starfish each time they went.

GCHP 5

They were always very clean and tidy.

GCHP 3

The showers were always clean and are very roomy, great for having a warm shower in!

GCHP 2

The laundry was clean as well and contained many front loader washing machines with 3 different water temperature cycles. A cold water wash was $5, warm water wash $6 and a hot water wash was $7. This price also included washing powder and fabric softener.

GCHP 6

The dryers were big and with 3 temperatures settings, there is something for everyone. They were $1 for 8 minutes. For big loads you did need to add a couple of dollars into the machines.

GCHP 7

We spent our time in a large rig site at the front of the park, there are many different ways you can spend your time there. To find out more, click here.

GCHP 9

There are awesome ensuite sites.

Near the toilets is an awesome bbq area with a fridge, microwave, toaster, 2 bbq’s and some hot plates. Our boys enjoyed watching the big tv while we cooked tea on the bbq.

Another awesome thing was the free pancakes every Sunday morning at 9am and free sausage sizzle Tuesday nights at 6.30pm.

We really enjoyed our time here. When we first booked, we were a little shocked at the price (we thought it was a little high), but it was definitely well worth it!!
