These cute mini hanging scarecrows were fun to make and are cute hanging decorations.

Mini Scarecrows A

To make these hanging decorations, we used a mini straw doll hat as the face for the scarecrow.

We then cut some raffia to the length we wanted for the hair and then tied it in the middle with a small piece of string.

We used a hot glue gun to glue the raffia to the hat and then when that was dry, we folded over the top of the hat and glued it down.

Then we cut out some flower and leaf shapes from felt and glued them on. We added a bead in the middle of the flowers as well.

Mini Scarecrows 3

For the eyes, we used googly eyes, a mini pom pom for the nose and a piece of black felt for the mouth. We added a ribbon for a bow tie.  All of these were glued on with the hot glue gun.

When this was dry, we glued on a piece of string at the back so that we can hang them up.

You could decorate your cute mini hanging scarecrow to match in with the seasons and hang them on your front door.
