Holly Homer and Rachel Miller of Kids Activities Blog have just released their new book:

101 Kids Activities that are the Bestest, Funnest Ever!

101 Kids Activities

After receiving our copy of this book in the mail, I sat down to read it when the boys came in.

They read the title of the book and asked if they could read it and see what they wanted to make first.

It took the boys awhile to read through the book and decide what activity they wanted to complete first. They just had so much trouble deciding.

With 101 awesome activities collated into 4 chapters: Boredom Dusters, Crafts, Games and Simple Science, there’s no wonder the boys had trouble.

Finally they decided that the first activity they were going to complete was the Marshmallow Launcher.

But because B doesn’t like marshmallows, they wanted to do it using pom pom balls instead of the marshmallows.

Pom Pom Launcher

The Marshmallow Launcher activity is in the first chapter on page 24. There is a great picture on page 25 that shows you exactly how to make the launcher.

The materials list for each activity is written on the left hand side which is a great checklist to make sure you have all the materials before you start. Sometimes under this list is a tip which add extra variations for the particular activity.

Under the directions on how to make the activity there are modifications for younger kids and modifications for older kids.

Our boys tried some of the modifications for older kids and then decided to make their own game. They shot the pom pom ball straight up into the air and then tried to catch the pom pom in their launcher. They wanted to see who could catch the most pom pom’s in a row.

We have really enjoyed reading this book and the boys are eagerly trying to decide what activity they want to complete next.

You can view four more activities from this book by visiting the Kids Activities Blog.
