We have tried painting with many different mediums, but we have never tried with celery until now. The boys really enjoyed painting these roses with the cut of end of celery.
We just cut the end about 10cm off the bottom (the kids need something to hold onto) of a bunch of celery and then dried it with paper towel before dabbing it in different coloured paint.
We used a piece of celery for the green leaves.
We think they would make great wrapping paper!
Or you could use them on the front of cards!
What do you think?

Very cool! I did this for valentines with my kids and they loved it!

Cute idea! I would never think about using celery. And you’re right – it would make really adorable wrapping paper! Pinned!

These are gorgeous! I love this idea! 🙂 Yep this is another fun activity that will go on my art bucket list to do with Little Bee. Thanks for always sharing simple and wonderful art projects!

We used to do this kind of artwork in grade school. We also used cucumber (the imprints made by the seeds are nice) and carrots (we’d carve out ridges on the carrot first to create a star shaped imprint).

Some good ideas that we may have to try!
