Before making this recipe, make sure that your saucepan and jar are completely dry. Water can seize up the chocolate, which will ruin your topping.
Once the ice cream topping has melted, it will be hot. Let it cool down for around 20-30 minutes before using it, as if it is too hot, it will start to melt your ice cream.
