Using a double boiler, melt cocoa / shea butter and coconut oil together until liquid.
Remove from heat and let cool for about 30 minutes.
Add in the Frankincense, Lavender and Lemon essential oils.
Add the vitamin E if using.
Wait for mix to partially solidify. If you live in a high humidity place like I do, you may want to put it in the fridge. I put mine in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
Then, whip with your hand mixer for a few minutes until it has a butter-like consistency.
Store in a wide-lid glass jar. This should keep for 6 - 12 months.
Due to the high humidity in some areas causing the coconut oil to melt, you may need to keep it in a dark, cool place or the fridge.
Instead of the vitamin E oil, you could use almond oil as it is also very beneficial to the skin. It helps soothes irritated skin, lightens dark circles and help in the delaying of the ageing process.
You could also add a few drops of Maleluca (Tea Tree) Essential Oil too as it helps with acne.
