Pigeon Math Cards for 1 – 12

In this printable pack, you will receive:

• 2 mats – one for addition and one for subtraction
• 2 sets of cards with numbers from 1 to 24 – one set has a cat on it and the other set has a pigeon on it
• 2 sets of math signs – plus, subtract and equal – one set has a cat on it and the other set has a pigeon on it

To Prepare:

• After downloading your copy of this pack, print off all the pages on white paper or cardstock. All parts can be laminated for durability.
• To store the cards, punch a hole in a corner and hold them together with a binder ring.

To Use:

• The cards can be used on the mats for simple addition and subtraction 
• The cards can be used on their own without the mats for simple addition and subtraction 
• The cards can be used to help children learn to count from 1 to 24
• As there are two sets of cards, they can be used in memory and matching games
• Children could also practice their handwriting skills, by using a dry-erase marker to trace the numbers on the cards or write their own sums using the mats
• The cards and mats can be used to create sums and then use playdough to count out the sum
