After having such an amazing adventure, I was looking at ways to keep some memories of our trip when I came across this My Monopoly Boardgame. I can’t remember exactly where I purchased it from, I’m pretty sure it was a Big W or Kmart and it was on sale for $10.

My Monopoly

Our boys love playing boardgames, especially on those cold, rainy days when you are pretty much locked up in the van with no solar. Monopoly is one of their favourite games, so when I saw it, I knew it would be a hit.

Even though I purchased this game halfway through our trip, I put it away until we arrived back at the Gold Coast in October. Then we sat down as a family and worked out what our favourite places were and used them as the streets on the game.

First you have to decide what photos you will use, then get the program. You can download the app on your iPad (iTunes) or phone (android), though I decided to use my computer for this.

Then you upload your photos and print them out on the supplied pages. I did a test print on a plain piece of paper first, just to make sure I had the printer settings right.

Next, you stick the printed stickers onto the appropriate cards.

My Monopoly 2

When finished place your cards in the appropriate places on the board. The cards just slide in the spot, making it easy to get them in and out.

My Monopoly 5

There is even an option to make some of your own chance and community chess cards, which we had a lot of fun with.

My Monopoly 4

Finally it is time to play. This board game comes with 4 pieces into which you can add your own picture cards.

My Monopoly 3

This board game will constantly be a reminder of our trip and how much fun we had while travelling this beautiful country.
