Lap of Oz: Day 14 Richmond

Day 14

Day 14

After leaving Winton early in the morning, we headed for Richmond via Hughenden.

We arrived at Richmond and had lunch at Lake Fred Tritton Park before heading to the RV Park to set up for the night.

Lake Fred Tritton was a beautiful lake with bbq’s, plenty of tables and chairs and a great playground for the kids. The mini ‘waterpark’ area for kids was turned off, probably due to the cool weather, but it would be a great place in summer for the kids.

The RV Park is a free camp with a dump point. There are no toilets/showers or water here.

You do need to go to the Information Centre (which is also Kronosaurus Korner) and fill in a form to say you will be camping there. There was only one other person when we arrived, another two vans turned up later that afternoon.
