Day 130

Day 130

We were very lucky to be given two sites for the price of one at Anglesea Beachfront Caravan Park. This allowed us to hitch up the van and get everything ready the night before we had to leave, as we had to leave very early to get into Melbourne the next day.

Leaving just after 6:35 am, we arrived at Evernew around 8:30am. After explaining and showing all the things that needed to be fixed on the van, we unhitched and headed off to spend the day in Melbourne.

First we headed to a McDonalds just down the road to wait for the traffic to slow down. Our boys wanted to see some of the places on the ‘Block’, so we headed for the Triple Threat and then to the current Octoblock.

We drove past AAMI Stadium.

Then we headed to a shopping centre in close proximity to Evernew, to wait for our van.  After receiving a phone call just after 4pm letting us know that our van was ready to be picked up, we headed off.

We drove, heading in the direction of Ballarat, stopping just after 6pm at a Service Area/Truck Stop behind a BP service station for the night. There were trucks coming in and out all night, but after a long day, getting up at 5:30am that morning, we were all tired and slept really well.
