Day 109
Today we headed to Esperance. As it was raining, we only had a short at the Pink Lake before heading through the town, stopping only for fuel and a quick look at the beach.
The pink lake didn’t really look pink at all, sometimes when the sun decided to poke its head through, you could get a small glimpse of a pink tinge.
Then we headed for Norseman to start our long journey across the Nullarbor.
We met an older couple at the fuel station at Norseman who were trying to give some of their fruit and vegetables away as they were heading to the WA SA border (like us) and you can’t take these things through quarantine. We said goodbye to them and headed on our journey. Funnily enough, we both stopped at the same free camps each night for the 3 nights across the Nullabor, without knowing where the other one was staying.
Our first airstrip on the Nullarbor.
The boys thought it was crazy that a plane could land where we were driving.
That night we stayed at Harms Lake Rest Area with about 4 other vans.
It was really cold that night!
