Valentine’s Day is not far away now. Are you looking for a fun and cute craft? Here is an easy activity that children of all ages will enjoy.
These fun little fingerprint hearts can be used as leaves in a tree for a poster that mum can frame or used on their own as a decorate on wrapping paper. They can even be used as a picture on the front of a mother’s day card to show mum how much you appreciate her.
First, the we laid our arms and hand onto brown cardstock and drew around them. Then we practice using scissors by cutting around them. Once this was completed, we glued the brown arm onto a piece of white cardstock.
For the fingerprint leaves, we chose to use a couple of different shades of pink, red and purple paint.
To get the best looking hearts, press your finger into the paint up until your first joint. Then press the finger on a piece of paper on a slight angle to the left. Repeat, only this time when pressing on the paper, go on a slight angle to the right making sure the bottoms join up.
Let the paint dry for a couple of hours and then your fingerprint heart pictures are ready to be displayed.
What other ideas can you come up with using these fingerprint hearts?
