Pour the coconut oil and cocoa butter into a glass container and heat up in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each heating session, until they have melted. A double boiler method works for this as well.
Remove from the heat and let harden in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
If using essential oils, add them to the carrier oil.
Take the mixture out of the freezer and whip until light and fluffy.
Slowly add in the carrier oil while gently whipping.
Then add in the arrowroot powder and mix through.
Pour into glass jar and add lid.
To use, scoop a generous amount of cream out of the jar and apply to your body.
Store the jar in a cool place, as it will melt if it gets too hot. It should last around three months.
If needed, you can try to re-fluff the body cream by whipping it back up to the desired consistency.
