Instructions
Wash, dry and slice the strawberries and place them in a small bowl with the castor sugar. Let the strawberries sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
While waiting for the strawberries, add the thickened cream, icing sugar and vanilla extract together in a bowl and whip until soft peaks form.
Slice each doughnut in half horizontally. This will create a top and a bottom layer.
Spoon or pipe some of the whipped cream over the bottom halves of the four donuts.
Next, spoon over the macerated strawberries onto the top of the cream.
Add a dollop of the cream to the top of the strawberries.
Top with the top halves of the donut.
Add some more whipped cream and strawberries if desired.
You could also sprinkle some icing sugar over the top as well.
