Earlier this month, the boys made “Zebras”, to go into the Zebra lapbook.
To make the zebra for the cover of our lap book, we cut off the bottom of an old coke box and laid an A4 sheet of black paper on the bottom, using a bit of blue-tac on each corner to hold it down.
I poured some white paint into a small bowl and then added a couple of marbles into the paint.
Then the boys rolled the marbles to make sure they were covered in paint before placing them onto their black paper.
They loved rolling the marbles around in the box, adding stripes to their black paper.
When the paint was dry, I cut out a horse shape on their A4 piece of black paper.
(I had printed an outline of a horse that I had found on the internet and then cut it out and blue tacked it to the back of the rolled paper and cut around it.)
They glued the zebra to the front of their folder they were going to put their lap book in.
