Honey Oatmeal Soap
This honey oatmeal soap is easy and simple to make, and will help soften and hydrate your skin. It is great for those with skin conditions.
goats milk soap base
oats, ground up slightly in a blender or coffee grinder
Cut up the goat milk soap into small chunks, about 2 cm x 2cm and place in a glass microwavable jug.
Microwave in 20 second increments, stirring well after each 20 seconds. Mine took around a minute to be fully melted. Don't overheat as it will cause the soap base to start bubbling up.
One all the lumps are melted, add the honey and the ground oats.
If you are using the colorants, now is the time to add them. You could add a couple of drops of yellow and a drop of red to give your soap a pale, golden yellow colour.
Place your soap moulds on a flat even surface where they can stay, untouched for the next few hours.
Sprinkle the unground oats into the bottom of your soap mould.
Pour your soap into the mould.
I let my soap sit for around 12 hours, allowing it to harden up before popping it out of the mold.
With a silicon mould, the soap should pop out easily, once set.
Wrap up and hand out to friends and family as gifts.
