As the boys had so much fun with the first hot air balloon, we decided to try one more hot air balloon experiment.
This time it involved fire and a tea bag.
Take the staple out of the top of a tea bag and empty out the contents.
Stand the tea bag up, like in the picture above.
Make sure everyone is standing back and then
using a lighter or match, light the top of the tea bag.
As the tea bag burns, it should slowly rise into the air.
Ours ended up flying so high it nearly touched the roof.
Once it had finished burning, it slowly made its way back down to the ground.
This experiment really excited the boys. Just make sure you have enough tea bags as the children will want to watch this over and over again.
