The boys have been playing ‘shop’ a lot lately and wanted some different products to sell in their ‘shops’. B was standing beside me when I found a recipe on Creative Playhouse for bubble dough.
We made ours a little different from them. We used 1 1/2 cups of cornflour and 3/4 cup of bubblegum bubble bath. It smelled so nice and was fun to play with. They used it as bubble gum in their shop.
While there we also found a recipe for a sort of snow dough. We made this but didn’t put it in the freezer. The boys sold it as snow though in their shop. We used 1 1/2 cups of cornflour and lots of shaving cream (the cheapest brand you can find will do). I have to say it felt really soft and relaxing to play with. (Yes I did play with it!)
Then we also found a link to Ice Cream Dough at Play Create Explore. They wanted to sell ice cream, so we made this too. We made it using 1 1/2 cups cornflour and 3/4 cup conditioner. Then I separated it into 3 bowls and add a little brown food colouring to one to make chocolate and a little pink food colouring to another to make strawberry ice cream. We left the last one plain for vanilla.
They made their ice cream bowls and added a few sprinkles to make it look nice and then they were done. The ice cream dough was also very soft and relaxing to play with, though it was a little harder to get off.
