These shape tracing and cutting pages are great for kids in preschool and kindergarten. They are easy to print and will help improve your child’s fine motor skills while helping them learn their shapes.

These shape tracing and cutting pages will help improve your child's fine motor skills and while helping them learn their shapes.

Materials Needed
  • white paper
  • printer
  • laminator
  • colouring pencils
  • scissors
  • dry erase marker

These Shape Tracing and Cutting pages are a great way for children in preschool or kindergarten to practice learning their shapes. These pages can also be used in a multitude of different ways, such as:

  • Cutting Practice – Print out the pages and have the students cut out each of the shapes to practice their cutting skills.
  • Tracing Practice – Print out the pages and have the student use a crayon or marker to trace around the shapes, saying the name of the shape as they trace. They could also practice writing the name of the shape in the middle of each shape. For repetitive use, laminate the pages and have the student trace the lines with a dry erase marker.
  • Tracing and Cutting Practice – Print out the pages and have the student trace around the lines with a crayon, colouring pencil or marker and then have them write the name of the shape in the middle of each shape before they proceed to cut each shape out.
  • Shape and Colouring Practice – Print out the pages and have the student write the name of the shape on the top of the page. Then have them trace the shape and colour or decorate each shape on the page.
